Life as a L.I.T

Hey everyone! It's been quite some time since I blogged. Life as a L.I.T has been very enlightening and fulfilling till nw and also very tiring. Always have to travel from jurong to paya lebar is taxing n having to wake up early in d morn to catch d train, literally. Well, if u still dunno, L.I.T stands for Leader In Training under d Grow With Us Program with NTUC First Campus. Its my 8th day of modules and i still haf abt 82 days more. Wah i knw but must PERSEVERE! Anyway, they are reali very people oriented and to them, d ppl/staff working under them are being well taken care of, emotionally n mentally. They are always ready to help, share and give advises to all of us. I'm really glad I join tis program, if not, I wun know tt there r so many things to consider n do in managing a centre. I'm so happy to see my lecturers and also my poly mates in tis program!! Also, the ppl I met in tis program r all very bubbly n nice! So now I'm kinda looking forward to the different modules everyday! Tomorrow we will b at kallang bahru and next week we will haf our centre attachment at diff centres. Looking forward to discovering new things but kinda not looking forward abt d distance! Lol. Alright! Shall share more whn I've more happening stuffs ya? Till then, tata!

Experience 1

Hi all, life been pretty busy ever since I start work as a LIT and I will simply doze off during EVERY train ride if I ever gt d chance to sit down. Right nw in fact, i'm in d train on my way back.. Been also bz juggling btw work n family. Lesser time spent wif my boys nw after our trip cuz by d time i reach my mum place i will b super shag n dont feel like doing anything but lie down. Was attached to a centre today, a newly opened one actually, managed by a LIT (1st cohort) at Jln Sultan. Walked ard d centre and got to experience being a child care teacher. The principal was very nice and she shared alot of her experiences with us and also answered alot of our questions and I want to knw how she actually manage situations like having teachers who discipline diff and had some conflict of interest gg on with each other. She was nice enough to share wad she had done and will do and also share tips abt handling some matters. Definitely learnt something there. N of cuz, it's nt easy being a principal. Got to be a friend who listens but also gt to set rules n b firm whn needed. I hope I cud learn more whn my actual course starts next friday. And i hope i cud make a good principal. Tomorrow I will b starting at 7am and finish at 430pm. Got to finish some assignments also. Next week mon - thurs wud b 9-6pm. Den wud start d GWU program on Friday.

Alright, d MRT ride is getting crowded n it's super hot! Argh! Can't wait to get home to my babies! I'm only at commonwealth station as i finish tis last sentence.

My 7 days 6 nights in Taiwan

Our 7 days 6 nights in TW was fantastic! Hotel service @ East Dragon Hotel was good! Friendly n nice staff who are always there to lend a helping hand and to answer all our questions! Our tour guide, Uncle Jack who we engage the very last min n he was able to bring us to diff places and entertaining us. He is also d one who drove us from airport to hotel, recommended by Jerlyn. He brought us to see the different parts of TW and eat many of their local food. Shopping was... Fantastic, esp at d last 3 days of our trip. We shopped like mad! Can buy 3-4 pairs of heels/wedges at 1 go w/o tinking twice! Some was as cheap as NT200, which is like less than SG10! how to not buy? Went to Show Luo's shop, "Stage" n dear n bro bought their transformers tee shirt from there! Super nice. We went to Jay Chou's shop too but... Design wasn't as nice as Stage n it was more ex. Disappointing. Then we went to diff night markets, Shilin (very crowded n things r ex), Shi Da (they have bags which r superb cheap!), Ning Xia (very nice n cheap food as it's said to serve local ppl). Went Wu Fen Po also but seriously speaking, not all d things r cheap, have to reali dig n see. Managed to buy some clothes and accessories there. Lastly nt forgetting Ximenting area. We bought d most stuff there! And can bargain n I got some reali cheap goods like some accessories for NT100 which is less than SG5! So overall, I love TW! Will definitely be back there again, maybe in 2 years time? Cause I see some Reno gg on there n hopefully whn I go back again, there will be more things to see n shop! Next post will be all pictures of TW! Till then, show u all some sneak peak pictures which I took wif my phone!

Our loots. Lol! Went wif onli 1 luggage (left) but came back wif 2 more bags! Who knows, our driver brought us to a famous shop tt sells their famous TW goodies n we bought more of tt for our friends and family! Then we went to DFS n bought liquors, wine, beers! Imagine ALL d bags tt 6 adults got to carry. We have altogether 3 luggages, 3 big bags, 4 foodie bags n 5 or 6 liquors bags n a pram.







On d way back to SG. nightview. :)

Experience, experience

Got 2 sessions of driving today! N boy, was it tiring! At d end of d 2nd session, I was literally dead. My toes r cramped, eyes r shutting down, mind was not clear etc etc! But at least I get to go back to my crib n haf steamboat wif driving gang! Haha! We even had time for some leisure mahjong! Max shiok!

Later they will b coming up to my place for 2nd rd of steamboat again cuz we can't finish the food yest! So maybe, more mahjong? Hehe.

Alright, shall go do online check in for my TW trip! Super max excited can??? ♥ ♥



Don't you agree with the above picture? Sometimes I juz wonder if I could ever undo my mistakes? Well, at least I learnt a lesson thou it's a rather painful one. No wonder ppl say, 先苦后甜 (sweetness comes after bitterness) or something like tt.

Driving experience

I cleared stage 1 today! Haha, not a very big deal la cuz I learnt before but today was a rather special experience! I drove all d way to CCK, cuz d instructor wana take something from his home. Haha! Weird I know, but it's quite an experience! I got time to even check my hair and relax a little.. And d instructors here so far are rather chatty type so I get to talk from start till d end of d 100mins. I like chatting while driving cuz time pass faster! But it's reali very tiring to drive in d morn but considering that I can save $10 cuz it's an off peak makes me feel that it's worth it. Tmr I haf 2 more sessions ( I rem wrgly abt d sessions, I tot it was today tt I haf these 2 sessions. ) and I dunno y my right eye is very painful n irritating today. I haf to keep yawning. Tink it's time to order my contacts cuz I tink it's over a mth date le. Tink I wun put on eye make up tmr in case my eye start to irritate again! I dunwan all these probs b4 my trip!

Now slacking at my mum's place wif Jayrius beside me, he is busy watching Little Einsteins and I try to change channel to KBS but he cries whn I do tt. Duh.

Went to Sakae for lunch wif driving buddies and super full n shiok! Tmr we gonna go to my place to slack n make steamboat! Hoho! Can't wait!

Gel, gel Wednesday!

Woke up with a flu and aching legs, wonder if it was because my legs were at the wrong positioning during driving. Pop flu max and hubby bought bee hoon for breakfast after he finish work at 8am. Den he waited for me to wake up ard 10 to haf my breakfast and we went off to JE to get my medical report. Thanks hubby for sacrificing ur slp accompanying me! Report was all well and okay! Then we head off to JP for lunch at Ajisen! Hubby ordered a new ramen with black soup base!


Forgot the name of the ramen but it tasted alright!

Then hubby went back home for his beauty slp and I head for my gel mani! Tink I am into gel polish now cuz no need to wait for it to dry, no chip and it can last ard a month or so! So I went to remove den did new gel French!



Nice or not? Hehe. I cane up with my own concept and I'm loving it!

Now back at my mum's place watching boys over flowers on KBS world. I never get tired of this drama. Haha!

Tmr I haf driving lessons, 2 sessions to be exact, 1 in the morn n 1 in d afternoon! Nervous, but I'm looking forward. :) till then, tata!

First blog in 2011

It's been a long time since I ever blogged. I shall try my best to start from this very first post of yr 2011. Life's been good to me, kids are growing well under the care of my mum, hubby been treating me good also, giving me whatever I ask for.

Well, the biggest change in my life now is the change of my job. No longer working in PCF anymore and I would start my new job as a LIT (Leader-in-Training) under NTUC My First Campus. Would start on the 20th June, after my Taiwan trip from 12-18th June, which I am super excited about! 3 months course at Mountbatten HQ (damn far I know) then after the 3 months, god knows where would I be posted to, either as a Acting Principal or Principal at a centre. Well, I just hope I can cope with whatever that comes to me!

Alright, shall stop here! Will try to blog more often now that I d/loaded blogpress in my iPhone. Shall end off with a photo of my cheeky boys! Tata!
